Brodie Rocca Director

Brodie just discovered that P.J. Hogan was 32 when he wrote and directed Muriel’s Wedding. He’s choosing to not be defeated by this. Sure, Brodie might be 34 without any international hits on his hands. What he does have is fifteen or so years of filmmaking experience. Some highlights include: winning QLD New Filmmaker’s Awards and playing Brisbane International, St Kilda and Heart of Gold film festivals for shorts he’s directed, editing on the 2023 SXSW XR experience award winner; shooting a 2022 QLD Clarion award nominee, and most recently co-directing and editing comedy web series Expanded Minds Only with Damien Power (they’ve also been putting out sketches over the last year which have over a million views). While he may not have made a seminal Australian comedy classic just yet, rest assured he’s working bloody hard to find a way.
